How it works
Three steps, each opened by the one before it. No unsolicited messages and no disclosure without your consent.
Your positions, sea time and certificates with their dates, saved step by step. Stop at any point and continue when you are back in signal range.
Employers see a reference code and your professional profile — role, sea time, certificates and availability — never your name or contact details. You can also block a specific company from seeing your profile at all.
Only an employer you have applied to, or whose contact request you accepted, sees your full work history and certificates. Your name and contact details follow only after a confirmed hire.
Why seafarers pay nothing
No fees or other charges for recruitment or placement shall be borne, directly or indirectly, by the seafarer.MLC 2006 — Standard A1.4, paragraph 5(b)
For seafarers
Your name and contact details stay hidden until you choose to share them, so you can look without putting your current position at risk. Record your certificates once and get a warning before they expire.
For employers
Review experience, credentials and availability in one place. Publish a job and receive applications ranked by fit, with what is missing shown alongside.
Tax number, trade registry and company document are checked. This verifies the company — it is not a check of any candidate's certificates, which carry their own separate status.
You choose when the vessel name becomes visible: always, after application, or never.
A candidate with an expired mandatory certificate cannot reach the top of the list, and the reason is shown alongside.
If the candidate accepts, their work file and a conversation open for that job. Name and contact details follow once the hire is confirmed on the platform. One request per candidate every 30 days.
Tracking and oversight
Every certificate you record has its expiry date tracked. Anything due within 90 days is marked amber, anything expired red. Medical certificates are tracked for your own reminders only and are never shown to an employer.
Computed from position, certificate validity, experience, languages and availability. A score is never the whole answer: mandatory requirements are listed separately, so a strong score with a missing visa still reads as blocked.

No, and that will not change. No fee for recruitment or placement, directly or indirectly. This is not a launch promotion: MLC 2006 and Turkish Law No. 4904 prohibit charging seafarers for either. The employer side is where SeaTalent earns.
Nobody, until you decide. Your profile appears under a reference code; an employer sees your role, sea time, certificates and availability — not your identity. We will not claim you are untraceable, because in a small sector a detailed profile can still narrow you down. That is exactly why you control what is shared, and when.
One career profile you keep for life: work history and sea time, certificates with expiry tracking, languages and references. On the employer side, company verification and a match that explains itself — why someone fits and what is missing, instead of a single score. Parts of this are still in development, and when we open we will tell you plainly what is ready and what is not.
